I have always wondered what wireless headphones were like, especially when I am trudging down to the high street or to the train station. Fiddling about with cables to plug into my phone is just not the one especially when you want to charge your iPhone. So I was happy when I was gifted Skullcandy XTFree BT Sport Earbud by their PR team.
These headphones are bluetooth wireless with a six hour rechargeable battery. It has a sweat-proof lightweight design and secure TripleLock™ fit aka FitFin, StickyGels and Fix. There is also a call, track and volume control via the in-line microphone and remote.
What attracted me to these headphones was the fact that it is made specifically for women. I am not a fan of bulky headphones and I really like the ones that are slimline. Skullcandy are great at designing sets like these – I have tried over the ear headphones and this was the first time I had used an in-ear bud one.
Setting up was very easy – all I had to do was press the power button and it connected to my device by bluetooth. The sound is great and there is very little outside noise due to them being inserted into your air. Plus the buds have covers which makes them feel a lot softer in your ears. The headphones have anchors attached to them that insert into your ear which really help to keep them in place.
These wireless headphones have some great perks; I can walk up to a 30 metre radius from my phone before I was out of range and the cable is the right size to fit round my neck so does not feel like I have a rod on. You also get a small pouch and some spare covers for your headphone buds.
Skullcandy XTFree BT Sport Earbud is priced at £89.95.
