Skullcandy Knocker

December 29, 2014

I am a huge Skullcandy fan, I came across the brand last year when I featured The Navigator on this blog. Earlier this year they launched their collection of women’s headphones and earbuds. With ambassadors such as pro-snowboarder, Kimmy Fasani and pro-surfer, Leila Hurst giving their input into the design you know you are going to end up with something that is fun, vibrant and full of energy.

Although Skullcandy do create headphones that are perfect for women with pretty feminine colours, this is the first collection that they have launched specifically for ladies. The collection consists of Knockout, Bombshell, and Dime. The latter two are in ear headphones with very beautiful designs with Knockout being the on ear model. I was sent a sample of Skullcandy Knockout to try out.

Knockout is definitely for fashionistas as it is made in three very different styles. You have a floral, burgandy and gold mesh that will appeal to lady who likes to make a bit of a statement, then there is a light blue style that has a purple reverse and gold trimmings – this would be perfect for a lady with a classic style and finally there is a quilted black and chrome style for those who like to keep things simple.

This model has a fitted headband that can be adjusted to accommodate your different hair styles or headwear. Like The Navigator you can fold up these headphones so they take up a small space in your bag. However, it is the small things that really made the difference such as the small pouch for you to store the headphones in and the detachable cord so you avoid those annoying tangles. Then there is the three button in-line mic and remote which is designed for a lady on the go. You can take and make calls, switch up the track or volume.

The sound is crisp and clear and the headphones feel very comfortable on your ear. The different options that are available such as sound and fitting are very useful. This is a great product for the price especially if you don’t want to splash out on £300 for a pair of Beats by Dre.
