Sampling Sleep Well Milk

April 9, 2018
Sleep Well Milk

I am sure you are aware of my aversion to dairy milk so I always make sure that my fridge is stocked up with Soya, Almond and Coconut Milk. A few weeks ago I was approached by a PR about Sleep Well Milk which is designed to make sure that you get a good night’s sleep.

It was created by Sam and Allan Watts who found it hard to switch off. They come up with the idea of creating a healthy milk made from simple, nutritious and natural ingredients associated with a good night’s sleep.

It contains Jersey Milk which contains more protein and calcium than other types of milk. It also tastes great and is very nutritious. There is also natural honey which has simple sugars that are better for you than white sugar or artificial sweeteners. Finally there is Valerian root which has been relaxing people and helping them get to sleep for nearly 2000 years.

Sleep Well Milk comes in two different flavours; vanilla and chocolate and I was sent several tubs of vanilla to try out. I followed the instructions and warmed the milk up at night up to have just before I went to bed. I must admit it was tasty but I can’t vouch for whether it gave me a good night’s sleep. I must put my hands up and admit that I never have an issue sleeping so I am not sure if I am the best person to test this.

What I will say is that this milk is really lovely – as well as drinking it warm I also popped it into my coffee and tea and it had great results. I love how rich it is – I was a fan of Carnation Milk but had to give that up because the after effects were horrible. Jersey Milk allows me to enjoy rich and creamy milk in peace.

This sounds good. It’s a shame (well it’s not a shame, but you know what I mean) that you’re a good sleeper anyway as I’d love to know how well it works.

      I agree with you there.

Oooh, this looks like it would be great for my 2 year old. She has been cleared of a dairy intolerance but won’t drink cow’s milk even now.

Good sleep is vital so anything that can help (and is tasty too) gets a thumbs up from me x

I am two weeks in to a dairy free diet as they think my baby may have an intolerance and I’m feeding her. I’ve really struggled to find good substitutes but this sounds great!

It is certainly worse looking into. It’s really sad what has happened to dairy products. Such a waste.

I’ve always been a terrible sleeper, since I was a kid. Maybe I should give this a try! It sounds lovely.

Oo I’ve never heard of this before, but it is an interesting concept. As a mother to two young children, anything that helps me sleep longer is a winner with me 🙂

      It’s a relatively new brand.

Ooh glad it worked for you. Sadly I am dairy free but my mum would love this so I will tell her about it.

This is interesting, I am not a fan of milk at all and much of that is because it upsets my stomach, not that I would consider that I have a milk allergy. I do like the idea of chocolate milk and would like to be able to drink more of it. Although help sleeping would be great!

One of the good things about this milk are the different flavours.
