National Doughnut Week kicked off on Saturday, it is an event where businesses such as bakers, coffee shops, offices and educational establishments take part and sell lots of delicious doughnuts to raise funds for The Children’s Trust.
Like anyone else I enjoy a good doughnut and have been partial to the ones by Krispy Kreme but over the years we have seen an emergence of gluten free doughnuts. I have listed my top three UK gluten free doughnut bakeries.
This is one of the UK’s gluten free and vegan doughnut brand. Borough 22 was created by Ryan Panchoo in order the meet the needs of those who had food intolerances but also had a sweet tooth. The doughnuts are hand mixed, oven baked and you can get them delivered to your doorstep. If you are out and about you can pick up a doughnut at a variety of shops in London.
The founder this bakery is a certified vegan baker who specialises in making products that are free from wheat, gluten and refined sugars. She makes a selection of mouthwatering cupcakes and doughnuts. From Chai Spiced, Chocolate Drizzle to Hazelnut Crunch, we have it all here.
The people behind Naked Bakery aim to provide you with not only beautiful looking vegan baked goodies but ones that taste delicious too. They make a variety of cakes, cupcakes and doughnuts. Their speciality is the 6 Ring doughnuts that are made in a variety of flavours for you to choose from.
National Doughnut Week takes place until Friday.
