I got into cupcakes around ten years ago when they become oh so on trend. Then blogosphere happened and there were hundreds of blogger events taking place everywhere serving Prosecco and cupcakes. As an event planner you want your event to be as Pinterest worthy as possible and you have to admit that cute cupcakes tick the box. I am fussy about my cupcakes though; the sponge must be moist and the cream not too sugary or hard. It can be a tricky feat to accomplish but Dimple Boy Cupcakes manage this very well.
Created by Yvette Fofah, the vision of Dimple Boy Cupcakes was created in 2011 but the company really took off in 2015 after a bit of rebranding. Their aim is to create delicious, handmade, fresh cakes using only the finest, free range quality ingredients, made with love, care and attention for any occasion. They are also gluten free and vegan.
I came across them on Instagram and managed to persuade the lovely Yvette to sponsor the brownbeautytalk Skincare Masterclass that took place in April. It was one of the best decisions I ever made – the cupcakes which had our logo on them looked lush, tasted delicious and added a very classy feel to the event. They went like hot cakes (pun intended) and everyone was raving about them.
I ordered Chocolate and Red Velvet and as Yvette had a prior arrangement on the day of my event we agreed that she would make the cakes a day before for me to pick up. When I tasted them they were as fresh as daisies and practically melted in my mouth. I have hosted two more events since then and needless to say that Dimple Boy Cupcakes have been a permanent fixture.
For the second event which was a Makeup Masterclass I ordered Salted Caramel and Red Velvet which were to die for and for the third event, a Natural Hair Masterclass I ordered Carrot and Vanilla which were so yummy. I would certainly recommend this brand for either a personal celebration or a corporate events. The service is top notch; reliable and quality.
