Eating Out

Hard Rock Cafe Lagos

January 17, 2018

I have actually never been to the Hard Rock Cafe before as I always had it down as a touristy place that served overpriced burgers. Well when we went past Hard Rock Cafe Lagos while we were on our travels in Nigeria, we could not resist going in.

Entering Hard Rock Cafe Lagos was a real experience and I was taken aback by how palatial it was. First of all the decor is very stylish in a kind of funky boho way and there are numerous memorabilia dotted around the cafe and some even hanging on the walls and ceilings. There is also a shop where you can buy souvenirs. In the evening the audience is treated to live performances on the stage inside the restaurant.

However, it is the outside that took my breath away. Hard Rock Cafe Lagos is set on Bar Beach and in fact the cafe has its own private beach. It looks out onto the Atlantic Ocean which creates a stunning backdrop.

There are numerous seating arrangements on the beach and deck to suit any occasion, as well as a few cabanas. Plus there are a couple of bars situated on the beach or if you are feeling really lazy you can wait for the waiter to come to you to take your order. There is also a swimming pool area for adults and kids. What more could you want?

Now onto the food;  Hard Rock Cafe’s classic menu consists of your typical American cuisine such as burgers, signature sandwiches, and fresh salads. There are also a wide selection of drinks to choose from including handcrafted cocktails and a mouthwatering desert menu.

I ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad which consisted of Romaine lettuce with homemade Caesar dressing, grilled chicken breast, croutons and shaved Parmesan cheese.  I topped that off with a delicious ice cream sundae which was washed down with several cocktails.

This is the perfect place to come and chill for a few hours or spend an evening because, trust me there is a lot to keep you occupied. I would suggest going in the evening to listen to some fine music and then relaxing on the beach watching the sunset. Talk about total bliss!

This just looks stunning! I’m so ready to visit now. Although I haven’t visited this cafe in London yet, so maybe I should lol!

Trust me you will LOVE the Lagos one. Just take your partner in the evening, hang out at the beach and sip cocktails or mocktails while you look out at the beautiful sea.
