I talked about my love of Alpro’s Milk recently and I have to admit that I am also a fan of Alpro plant based alternative to yogurt. Like the milk it is 100% plant-based and rich in plant protein and naturally low in saturated fat, low in sugar. It is also naturally lactose free and gluten free and contains calcium, and vitamins B12 and D.
Alpro Yogurt is available in a variety of forms such as vanilla, plain with coconut, plain with almond, plain with oats, plain unsweetened and just plain. There are also different flavours such as blueberry, vanilla, strawberry and cherry.
I have tried vanilla, plain with coconut, plain with almond in my smoothie and they work like treat. These yogurts have a very creamy texture and are rather sweet – in fact a lot more sweet than I would expect for a plant based product.
These products are very versatile as in you can eat them on their own, add in some fruit and nuts or use them in smoothies as I do. They come in large post of 500g and small ones of 125g.
