Afternoon Tea at Saucer & Spritz

February 9, 2018

Last year I was browsing through Oasis on Tottenham Court Road and I stumbled across Saucer & Spritz. It is located on the first floor which also holds a swish changing room and a retro nail bar called Pin & Polish. It looks like Oasis are reaching new levels.

The full spread!

Saucer & Spritz is Oasis’s in-house cafe where you can grab breakfast, lunch with a work buddy or cocktails with the girls. I was invited to have Afternoon Tea on the house so I invited my lunch buddy, Vicky from Spoken Reveries to come with me.

These wraps and sandwiches were large and filling.

Their Afternoon Tea consists of a mixture of sandwiches and wraps, a selection of cakes, a chocolate dessert and scones served with clotted cream and jam. You also get a glass of prosecco and tea although you can swap the tea with coffee.

Nothing like a cocktail with glitter in it.

As soon as we arrived we were served the prosecco which had bits of glitter in it which Vicky and I both got excited about. Typical girly, girly behaviour eh? Then we were served a platter each of Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches were very generous; the wraps were huge and very filling.

Love the heart shaped scones.

By the time I had these plus the scones and dessert I had no room for the cakes. Yes I know, I need to work on that. I can confirm that the cakes were lovely as I polished them off the next day. Then the tea followed and I order Earl Grey which was served in a tall filter along with pretty vintage crockery.

Dessert was a nice twist.

We were there for hours having a lovely catchup as we had not seen each other since Xmas. The staff were lovely and attentive and we did not feel pressurised to leave. The interior of Saucer & Spritz is really beautiful; it has that dainty pantry feel – trust me we did not want to leave.

All washed down with a spot of tea.

Afternoon Tea at Saucer & Spritz is priced at £25 per head.

It was a lot of food but ever so filling. It’s nice to have an Afternoon Tea with something different from sandwiches.
