Afternoon Tea at CREAMS in Bluewater

January 5, 2018

I have a real fondness for Afternoon Tea and a few months ago Victoria from Spoken Reveries and I treated ourselves at CREAMS in Bluewater. CREAMS have branches in Bolton, Canterbury, Derby and Leeds.

They promise glamour and sophistication with the 1900’s tearoom experience but with a modern twist. Well as we were smack in the middle of Bluewater shopping centre it was difficult to emulate that ambience but they did make up for it with the food and the service.

CREAMS certainly live up to their promise and do offer an Afternoon Tea with a twist. As well as a traditional British one they offer three other varieties called Eastern Emperors Afternoon Tea, Royal Arabian Afternoon Tea and Italian Afternoon Tea.

The British one replaces the sandwiches with brioche mini filled with chicken mayonnaise, cheese & spring onion and egg mayo; You also have sultana scones with strawberry preserve and clotted cream plus a selection of cakes & patisserie.

You can also choose from an Eastern Emperors Afternoon Tea with a pot of rooibos Indian chai, naanwich chicken tandoori with side salad, samosas with salad garnish and a selection of cakes & patisserie.

There is also the Royal Arabian Afternoon Tea with a pot of English breakfast blend, panini melt with lemon pepper chicken or a lemon pepper chicken salad, accompanied by hummus, olives & pita bread. Plus a selection of cakes & patisserie.

The Italian Afternoon Tea consists of cappuccino coffee, margherita mozzarella foccachio along with a sultana scone with strawberry preserve & clotted cream. It also comes with selection of cakes and patisserie.

We went for the British Afternoon Tea and let me tell you it was beyond filling. After eating the brioche minis I could only manage a couple of scones before I was utterly stuffed. We ended up taking all the cakes home. You certainly get a value for your money.

Afternoon Tea at CREAMS in Bluewater is priced at £13.95 for one person and £26.95 for two. We were alerted to a deal on Facebook by a lovely customer who was siting next to us which took around 40% of the price. I am not sure if the deal is still on but it is worth a look. You can also book and pre-pay using their app.

OMG, you had me at brioche! This sounds fabulous, I wouldn’t even care that it was in Bluewater, it sounds like great value for money for an afternoon with friends.

Nice! I love how there are lots of options. I would eat the scones first though. Always!
