TV shows about four female friends living in New York City have been done to death thanks to a certain book written by Candace Bushnell which was adapted to one of the most iconic programmes of all time. So I didn’t fall over when I heard about Crazy.Sexy.Life. which is a docu-series about four African American ladies navigating life in the Big Apple. Kiyah, Bershan, Chenoa and Tiffany are long time friends who despite being at different stages in their lives are still connected. Kiyah is an ambitious and successful celebrity hair stylist who starts to re-evaluate her life as she approaches the big 40. She is the link that brings all the women together. Bershan is a dynamic businesswoman who has battled breast cancer, despite having a luxurious lifestyle provided by her wealthy husband. Chenoa had a great career as a photographer till she put it on hold to start a family which sadly has not been fruitful making her rethink her opinions on marriage. Tiffany is also a breast cancer surviver, feisty and outspoke she is determined to make her fashion boutique one of the most successful in the city. Crazy.Sexy.Life. focuses on the relationships between these four women and sees them experiences highs and lows, conflicts and celebrations. The preview was broadcasted on the OWN Network last week and I had a peep at it. It reminds me very much of The Real Housewives of Atlanta but a much more civilised version and the characters seem much more endearing.
You can watch a preview of the show on Necole Bitchie. If you are in Europe or the UK then you need to click on the second video down. Enjoy.
The show has been picked by OWN and will air early next year.
